pore control w/ clarins

July 19, 2018

Hello there beautiful humans, let's have a chat. So as you may or may not know, I'm LOVE my skincare. I'm not one to throw new things into my regimen because I just don't know how my skin will react to it. So, I rarely do.

I was sent this product from Clarins and was very hesitant to try it because I just didn't think I needed it. Why would I need a pore control serum?  I don't even have big pores?

I decided to give it a try just for the heck of it and BOY was the joke on me. This bad boy smoothed and tightened up pores I didn't even know I had. After using a few times I don't think my life will ever be the same lol.

WHY YOU NEED THIS

Clarin's Pore Control Serum makes the pores almost disappear by making  larger pores tighten up. It's basically magic.

+ Vine Flower Cells Extract visibly tightens and firms enlarged pores make your ore seem invisible

+ Tamarind Pulp Acids help remove dead cells that can clog pores: the skin surface is smoothed and skin texture is refined  allow for a visibly smoother, more refined skin tone.

+ Organic Strawberry Fruit helps regulate oil production to make pores less visible  controls the appearance of dilated pores.

+ This works for your skin if you have anywhere from dry to oily skin.

beach day skin routine

March 14, 2018

Discalimer: This is a sponsored post. I was compensated to share my opinion on these products by Clarins USA, but all opinions are my own.

Over the last few weeks, with the sun making a special appearance in Indiana and my skin relatively behaving I've gotten a lot questions on what products I use. Back last August I did a collaboration on the full details of my morning routine (CHECK IT OUT HERE), but I decided to highlight a different product this time around.

I've been lucky enough to never really have bad acne at all, and I'm not sure if its because I don't like putting too much product on my skin or if it's just genetics. For that reason this is not a post to tell you how to get clear skin because everyone's skin is different, but it's to remind you what you need to be doing in order to take care of your skin.

How to take care of your skin 101 with Mercedes Demz:

Step 1: Drink water and mind yA business

It's a joke but like not...drinking water is so important for clear skin. Coming from someone who used to drink nothing but soda and juice, I find that drinking more water (especially as it starts to get warmer out) is sooooo important. Also if you mind your own business and take care of yourself you're less likely to stress and get 'stress pimples'. Look at how that works ;)

Step 2: Less is More

I don't like experimenting with new products. I stick to the 3-4 things I know and use them until the bottle is empty. Why? Because I feel as though a face routine shouldn't be extremely product heavy. Being in your 20's products like these from Clarin's Hydra-essentiels Line are so important to preserve and protect your skin.

EYES: Nobody wants dark or puffy under eyes, and their eye mask visibly minimizes signs of fatigues, wrinkles, dark circles, puffiness, and fine dehydration lines. It is said to visibly restore brighter-looking eyes and promote
a fresh, rested look.

FACE: A hydrating cream is so important -- whether you have normal or combo skin, it's important to find a moisturise like this one to keep your skin quenched. Their Hyra-Essentiel Cream is  a silky cream that restores comfort and radiance to super-thirsty skin, instantly soothing tightness and irritations.

Step 3: Don't forget about your lips

I'm not sure why, but I feel like out lips are the part on our face that are often neglected during our face routines. It's so important to not have crusty lips so whether you put this on in the morning or before bed, your lips will thank you later.

LIPS: When I tell you this product is magic...believe me. It Nourishes, moisturizes, and protects lips  like no other and not to mention makes them smooth and totally kissable.

July 06, 2016

As you probably can tell by the state of my face on the daily, I am not very big into makeup. I don’t have anything against it (in fact, I appreciate it as an art) but I just don’t know how to “beat or slay” my face. All I need in the morning is mascara and I’m all good. Occasionally I have on eyeliner but I’m still trying to perfect the wing and if you were wondering its not going too well (honestly should be its own genre of art because WOW). About a week ago I got a beauty box from my friends at Cocotique and I LOVE the products. I actually owned the edge control that was featured in this box and while it doesn’t work well with my edges too well, my sisters look amazing with it on. Baby hairs are on fleeeeeeek.  That’s not to say anything is wrong with it, it’s just to say not everyone’s hair responds to the same product the same way.

And the mascara? Don’t even get me started. Without mascara, I feel naked – I feel like it just transforms my face. You think I’m kidding but I’m serious. I have a prescription for my eyes but I only rarely wear it. “When do you wear your glasses Dem?” good question—As dumb as this sounds I don’t wear them to read but rather when I don’t wear mascara (I have the philosophy that people will be too focused on the fact that I’m wearing glasses to notice that I’m naked) . I also have a tendancy to wear like 30 trillion layers of mascara and the Orgasmic mascara that was in this month’s box speaks to my soul. #sorrynotsorry
